The Cashmere
Producers
of
America
was designed to be the National
Organization relating to cashmere goats. Currently,
due to active regional organizations, the need for
a National Organization has waned and CaPrA is no
longer active. But the body of work that so many
labored for so long to create remains.
CaPrA has a set of Show
Standards which govern the conduct of all
cashmere goat shows in the country. There is also a
set of Judging criteria for use in 4H shows.

CaPrA has a set of herd
codes that uniquely identify all cashmere goat
breeders. Herd codes are very important and every
cashmere breeder should have a unique herd code
just in case a future registry takes hold.
CaPrA has designed a set of rules to govern the
training of Regional Judges for our burgeoning 4H
program.
